We are privileged to partner in the ministries of pastors in Ukraine and Romania. The pastors in Ukraine are Sergei Gladishko and Ivan Prokopchuk. The pastors in Romania are Mihai Balint, Dan Faina, and Cristi Bunta. These men have great hearts for God and the people they serve. They have suffered persecution and hardships and remain faithful to their calling.
Ukraine
Pastor Sergei Galdishko and Pastor Ivan Prokopchuk oversee regional departments in the north central and north western parts of Ukraine.
Pastor Sergei Gladishko
Pastor Sergei Gladishko is the Assistant Regional Pastor-Missions Department for the Baptist Union in the Kiev Oblast (north central). He travels all over the Kiev region providing support to many pastors. His wife, Ira, helps support his ministry and cares for her mother who has cancer. They have three adult daughters and three grandchildren.
Pastor Ivan Prokopchuk
Pastor Ivan Prokopchuk is the Regional Pastor of the Baptist Union in the Zhytomyr Oblast (north western). He travels and preaches at various churches throughout the region. He and his wife Tanya live in a village where there are six foster homes that house 70 some children. Tanya helps with the women’s and children’s ministries in the village. Pastor Ivan and Tanya have four children, three grandchildren, and one foster son.
Romania
Pastor Mihai Balint, Pastor Dan Fiana, and Pastor Cristi Bunta, share the responsibility of twelve churches in the north western part of Romania. They share the preaching, teaching, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and the welfare of each congregation.
Pastor Mihai Balint
Pastor Mihai Balint is also a beekeeper and cares for his orchard of several kinds of fruit trees. He and his his wife, Florica, minister to the elderly and they give meals to those they visit that Florica has prepared. They have two adult sons and four grandchildren. Their youngest son, Emanuel, helps his father with the beekeeping, assists Pastor Cristi and Neolina in the upkeep of Camp Horizon and helps with AWANA at the local church.
Pastor Dan Fiana
Pastor Dan Faina also works in construction doing tile work and renovations. His wife Livia is a school nurse. Together they visit and encourage the elderly who live alone at home or in nursing homes. They have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.
Pastor Cristi Bunta
Pastor Cristi Bunta also works as an elementary school teacher. He and his wife, Neolina, manage Camp Horizon in Codru. Neolina is the camp director and Cristi oversees the camp’s construction and renovation. Neolina teaches Sunday School and assists many families who are experiencing difficult life situations. Cristi and Neolina have two teenage sons and a young daughter.
